History

Cascada Expediciones was founded in 1991 by university friends Javier Lopez, Yerko Ivelic, and Nani Astorga, who studied tourism and engineering, and wanted to create a unique company that showed off the best of Chile and the south of South America through thrilling and immersive adventures. The mission has been a resounding success and for more than 30 years, Cascada has provided wonderful, lifelong memories for its travelers.

Cascada is also partnered with EcoCamp Patagonia, an award-winning sustainable hotel located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park. Opened in 2001 and composed of eco-friendly and completely sustainable geodesic domes, EcoCamp was the first hotel of its kind. Since then, it has become an industry leader in sustainable lodging, inspiring the opening of similar hotels worldwide.
