Chile’s capital, Santiago, blends classical architecture with modern skyscrapers, set against the backdrop of the snow-capped Andes. Don’t miss this fun and educational day tour! Explore the bohemian Lastarria neighborhood, La Moneda Presidential Palace, the central square, the cathedral, Santa Lucía Hill, and more.
In the morning, you'll be picked up and driven to Santiago's Historical Center. Explore famous landmarks like the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and the neoclassical Justice Tribunal. We'll then drive along the Alameda to the Presidential Palace, La Moneda, an iconic symbol of Chile's political history. Next, we'll climb Cerro Santa Lucía for panoramic views of Santiago, followed by a visit to the bohemian Lastarria neighborhood.
Finally, we'll head to Metropolitan Park on Cerro San Cristóbal, where you can ride the funicular and cable car. The tour ends with a return to your hotel.
Every day on request.
The trip starts at your hotel in Santiago at either 9 AM or 2 PM, and finishes back at your hotel approximately 5 hours later.
This trip does not demand physical activity other than walking through city streets at a relaxed pace.
We use comfortable minivans that normally seat up to 12 people.
Santiago has a mild Mediterranean climate with relatively hot, dry summers (November to March) with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) on the hottest days. Winters (June to September) are more humid, with cold mornings and typical maximum daily temperatures of 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit), and minimums of a few degrees above freezing. Occasional snowfall occurs in suburbs at higher altitudes.
You need to bring your personal belongings. We recommend bringing a camera to snap photos of all the sights you'll be seeing!
We reserve the right to change the order of the itinerary at the discretion of the tour guide and based on operational considerations. The travel guide may also modify, change or eliminate part of the itinerary based on safety and/or weather considerations.
